The Changing Policy and Communications Environment and Implications for Pharma Marketing, Part 1

Recently I have had the opportunity to take part in a number of talks about the future of the pharmaceutical market in a number of venues such as the Google Health Think 08 and a recent forum held by my employer, Fleishman-Hillard.  I thought it might be a good idea to put together the thoughts I expressed at those and other venues into a video presentation that could be shared more broadly.  I have also wanted for quite some time to start a tutorial series here at Eye on FDA.

Accordingly, here is the first installment of a three-part presentation that I put up on the EyeonFDA YouTube channel this past weekend.  The overall presentation is about the Changing Policy and Communications Landscape as well as the challenges and moreover, the opportunities it presents the pharmaceutical industry.  The first installment looks at the policy environment, the second looks at the communications environment and the third looks at some hard decisions that pharmaceutical marketers need to be thinking about.   The video runs a little over 7 minutes.

Let me know how you like this format.   I was struggling between making this a talking head situation or slides with the voiceover, and chose the latter.  I hope you find it useful.
