The Latest Skinny on Vitamins

Yesterday Robert E. Brackett, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition for the FDA testified before the House Committee on Government Reform.  The purpose of the hearing was to review the consumer safeguards surrounding the regulation of dietary supplements.  He did not offer any insights on future needs in regulation, but overviewed the current state.  If this is an area in which you need some good background, this testimony outlines the current state of being and also summarizes the most recent enforcement actions the FDA has taken.
